Green Bay Packers kicker Mason Crosby believes that he has performed well during the first week of the team's training camp.

Mason Crosby has said that he feels "really good" with his performance so far in the Green Bay Packers' training camp.

The kicker faces competition from Giorgio Tavecchio, having had the lowest field-goal completion percentage of his career last season.

The 28-year-old told the Packers' official website: "Today it felt exactly how I wanted it to. I feel really good about where I am right now. Felt good about the set today, for sure.

"They got off my foot quick and got up, and they stayed on a good line. That's been my focus, pick a line, hit a good ball on that line, and don't let all the other elements affect that.

"It's helped me to, in a sense, focus in on what I need to do and how I need to go out and perform. I think the competition is always a positive. It's pushing me to do my best every day, every time I go out."

Crosby missed 21 of his 54 field-goal attempts in 2012.
