Mike McCarthy delighted with Eddie Lacy progress

Green Bay Packers head coach Mike McCarthy reveals that he was very pleased with the progress that running back Eddie Lacy made in his second year in the NFL.

Green Bay Packers head coach Mike McCarthy has revealed that he was delighted with the development of running back Eddie Lacy in his second year in the NFL.

The 24-year-old performed well in his rookie season with the Packers, but took on more responsibility as the club's lead back in his second campaign with the NFC North side as he was used on third down.

"I really felt that last year's conversation was more important than this year's, the ability to make a huge jump from year one to two, being a three-down player, that was something we stressed from day one, and I thought he delivered," McCarthy told reporters.

Lacy had a total of 1,566 yards and 13 touchdowns for the Packers last season.
