Green Bay Packers left tackle David Bakhtiari reportedly forced his way back onto the field while being checked for concussion during last night's playoff defeat against the San Francisco 49ers.
Bakhtiari was initially hurt during a play in the fourth quarter when his teammate John Kuhn ran for a one-yard touchdown.
The 22-year-old was being evaluated after the hit but still made his way onto the field for the extra-point attempt, before finally leaving the game for good having been diagnosed with concussion after the play, according to Fox sideline reporter Pam Oliver.
The incident would violate the NFL's stance on such injuries, as teams are obliged to follow a strict protocol set out by the league whenever there is a risk of concussion.
Both the NFL and the Packers have said that they will look into the report.
