Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers has admitted that he did not get clearance from his doctors to return to action this week.
Rodgers sustained a broken collarbone in his side's defeat to the Chicago Bears on November 5 and has not been able to practise since, as the Packers have gone through three replacement quarterbacks and have fallen to 5-6-1 in their season.
"At this point, it's really about the risk of going back out there," Rodgers told ESPN.
"I can't say this morning was the greatest news because I was hoping for full clearance to get back out there and we didn't get that. It's Tuesday so we have a good amount of time before the game."
The Packers face the Atlanta Falcons in their week 14 clash.
