The Indianapolis Colts have signed free agent Chris Rainey.
Running back Rainey featured for the Pittsburgh Steelers last season, having been selected in the fifth round of the 2012 NFL Draft out of the University of Florida.
Despite playing in every regular season game for the Steelers, the team waived him in January of this year following an arrest for battery.
Rainey will provide the Colts with a solid second option to Trent Richardson, who has struggled to find form since his move from the Cleveland Browns in October.
