Dexter McCluster has said that thing have "fallen into place" for him with the Kansas City Chiefs this season.
The wide receiver is on course to set career-high figures this season, having already recorded 253 receiving yards and scored a touchdown in 2013.
The 25-year-old told the team's website: "You're going to have ebbs and flows, but you have to worry about your play, your assignment. You never know what play is going to be the play that determines it.
"Alex Smith, he's a great quarterback, when he sees the open guy, he's going to get it to you. It's something we work on week-in and week-out. The defense presented itself and I was able to connect with him.
"I've been given the opportunity to play all over the place and it's something I've been specialising in for my whole career and things have fallen into place. No matter what, however things are going, if I'm not involved, if I am involved, I'm going to keep that mentality and keep working."
The Chiefs are the only NFL side to be unbeaten in 2013.
