Leslie Frazier has said that Adrian Peterson is expected to be ready to play this weekend despite the death of his two-year-old son.
The toddler, who lived away from the Minnesota Vikings running back with his mother, was allegedly beaten by her boyfriend, later dying from his injuries in hospital.
The head coach told reporters: "All indications are that he'll be ready to go on Sunday. He's going to be in the locker room available to the media.
"He seemed like he was into [practice], engaged in what he had to get done. Obviously tough, he's human, but he was into it mentally as best as he could be."
Frazier confirmed that he will leave the final decision on whether Peterson plays against the Carolina Panthers down to the 2012 MVP.
