Minnesota Vikings defensive coordinator Alan Williams has admitted that his side must be alert to the threat of the deep pass from Baltimore Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco.
The Vikings take on the Ravens on Sunday and Williams wants his team to focus on stopping the understanding that Flacco has developed with wide receiver Torrey Smith.
"The deep ball; he throws the deep ball well," Williams told the club's official website. "When the receiver is covered he still throws it to him, and they're coming up with big plays.
"I think Smith may have 17 20-plus pass plays down the field. They have a good chemistry working there."
The Vikings are 3-8-1 so far this season, while the Ravens are 6-6.
