New England Patriots wide receiver Danny Amendola will not need sports hernia surgery, according to a report.
The 27-year-old aggravated his groin his side's season-opening win over the Buffalo Bills and has been out of action since.
It was feared that Amendola would need surgery to repair the damage to his groin, which would rule him out for a month.
However, after a consultation with doctors the receiver has been told that he will not have to go under the knife, reports the Boston Herald.
New England face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday.
