New Buffalo Bills linebacker Brandon Spikes has hit out at his old team via his personal Twitter account.
The former New England Patriots man left the franchise under a cloud in January, with a report suggesting that Spikes was placed on their injured reserve list after showing up late to a team meeting.
Spikes was selected by the Patriots in the second round of the 2010 Draft, but left following their playoff exit to the Denver Broncos last season.
"Four years a slave," Spikes wrote on Twitter, referencing the recent Oscar winning film 12 Years a Slave.
"Great games on the schedule for 2014, but it's going to be like Christmas to hand the #Patriots a L(loss)...twice! It's icing on my cake to hand the #Patriots two big L's this year. #justwatch."
The Bills have not reached the post-season since 1999, while the Patriots have won the AFC East for the past five seasons on the bounce.
