New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft feels that his side have been "unfairly attacked" by the media in the early stages of the 'deflategate' scandal.
Pundits suggested that members of the Patriots' organisation should have faced fines and suspensions after they were accused of deflating the footballs in their AFC championship win over the Indianapolis Colts.
However, head coach Bill Belichick came out to deny the accusations, and he was backed up by earlier this week by Kraft, who feels that an apology should be given to his team if the NFL's investigation into the incident fails to find them guilty.
"I just didn't like the way we were, in my opinion, being unfairly attacked," he told NFL Network. "I just decided to do what was right for our family.
"We play by the rules, we play hard and we prepare hard. The work ethic of our When you do well and you're on top, everybody wants what you want. "
The Patriots are aiming to win their fourth Super Bowl when they face the Seattle Seahawks in Glendale on Sunday.
