The New England Patriots have released cornerback Alfonzo Dennard, according to a report.
The 25-year-old was selected in the seventh round of the 2012 Draft, and played a starting role in the club's defense for two campaigns under Bill Belichick.
However, Dennard fell out of favour in the 2014 season and was placed on season-ending injured reserve before their Super Bowl triumph.
The Patriots have decided to part ways with the cornerback before their off-season activities following their exploits in the NFL Draft, reports NFL Network.
Dennard recorded 90 tackles and five interceptions in his three years with the Patriots.
