New England Patriots cornerback Alfonzo Dennard has been released from an adult detention centre in Nebraska.
Dennard was put into the centre having violated his probation from an April 2012 arrest, when he was convicted of felony assault of a police officer.
The 24-year-old was arrested again in July of last year on suspicion of driving under the influence, a violation of his previous probation.
He served 35 days from a possible 60 following his violation, although he still managed to feature in 13 games last season, recording 40 tackles and one interception, as well as two more interceptions in the playoffs.
The initial incident occurred just days before the 2012 NFL Draft, causing Dennard to plunge from an expected first- or second-round pick to a seventh-round choice from the Patriots.
