New York Giants cornerback Walter Thurmond has been ruled out for the season, according to a report.
The 27-year-old sustained a torn pectoral in his side's defeat to the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday at MetLife Stadium.
Thurmond will require surgery on the problem and as a result will miss the rest of the campaign, his first with the Giants, reports ProFootbalTalk.com.
The Giants are 0-2 after the first two games of their campaign following their loss on Sunday.
