New York Jets defensive tackle Sheldon Richardson believes that the hiring of Rex Ryan as the head coach of the Buffalo Bills is "hilarious".
Ryan was fired as head coach of the Jets at the end of the 2014 campaign as his side finished with a 4-12 record and missed the playoffs for the fourth straight season.
The 52-year-old was touted with several of the head coaching vacancies around the NFL, but chose the Bills to remain in the AFC East, and will now face his former team twice every season.
"That's hilarious!" Richardson told the New York Post. "And to be able to face him two times a year? I can't wait."
Ryan posted a 46-50 record in his six seasons with the Jets, along with two appearances in the AFC championship game in the 2009 and 2010 campaigns.
