New York Jets coach Rex Ryan has praised quarterback Michael Vick for his honesty after he conceded that he could have prepared himself better and worked harder in practice last week.
"I wanted guys to take a stand and admit that, 'You know what? I can do more,'" Ryan said, according to ESPN.
"I think that's what Mike is doing. He knows what's going to be said about him, yet he chose to take that stand."
The Jets are currently on a four-game losing streak and face the Denver Broncos on Sunday who are 3-1 so far this season.
With fellow quarterback Geno Smith under fire, Vick came in to complete just 8 of 19 passes for 47 yards against the San Diego Chargers last Sunday and he admitted he could have paid more attention to scouting reports.
