Mark Sanchez has been confirmed as the New York Jets starting quarterback for their game at the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday.
Sanchez was benched during the Jets' win over the Arizona Cardinals last weekend, with third-string quarterback Greg McElroy replacing him.
The 26-year-old completed 10 of 21 passes and threw three interceptions.
Regular backup Tim Tebow was inactive with broken ribs, and it is uncertain whether he will be fit for this weekend.
Jets fans chanted for McElroy to replace Sanchez throughout the game.
The 24-year-old threw a touchdown pass to secure the victory for the Jets.
