New Orleans Saints coach Sean Payton has been given a one-year suspension by the NFL.
The boss has been handed the punishment for his part in the controversial bounty scheme, under which players were rewarded with cash payments for hitting opponents and taking them out of the game.
Payton will also not be paid during his 12-month exile from of the game.
The club's general manager Mickey Loomis has also been handed an eight-match ban.
