The Oakland Raiders are hopeful of having Darren McFadden active for their Thanksgiving clash with the Dallas Cowboys on Thursday.
McFadden has been missing since suffering a hamstring strain in the loss to the Philadelphia Eagles at the beginning of the month.
In his absence, the Raiders have actually had more success in running the football, with replacement Rashad Jennings rushing for 413 yards and two touchdowns over the past four weeks.
With the form of Jennings in mind, Raiders coach Dennis Allen plans to use both backs, which will also help ease McFadden back in.
Allen told NFL.com: "The guy that's in there and being the most effective will be the guy that gets the opportunity. But I see them both getting a chance to carry the ball on Thursday. We'll see how it goes. We'll play it out as the game plays along."
The Raiders are without a win on Thanksgiving Day since 1968.
