Philadelphia Eagles guard Allen Barbre is confident that he can step up to replace Evan Mathis in the club's starting lineup.
Mathis was released by the NFC East side following a contract dispute as he demanded a pay rise following the high level of his play over the past two seasons.
The 31-year-old is adamant that he is more than capable of replacing Mathis to fill the void in the heart of the club's offensive line.
"I'm pretty confident," Barbre told reporters. "I feel like I can play there and play well. I'm not worried I'm going to fail.
"I'm excited for the opportunity. I think it makes a big difference to get comfortable [at one position] and learn there and allow us all to grow together and get some unity."
Barbre signed for the Eagles in the 2013 season.
