The Philadelphia Eagles have signed wide receiver and return specialist Brad Smith.
Smith had been a free agent since being released by the Buffalo Bills on Friday, leaving the team with an injury settlement having been placed on the injured reserve following their final pre-season game.
However, the 29-year-old passed a physical exam with the Eagles and joined their practice session on Tuesday.
Smith, who spent five years with the New York Jets before joining the Bills, is the only player in NFL history to score touchdowns on a kickoff return, reception, rush, blocked punt return and pass.
The Eagles released wide receiver BJ Cunningham to vacate a roster spot for Smith's arrival.
