Michael Vick has been chosen to start at quarterback for the Philadelphia Eagles in their first pre-season match against the New England Patriots on Friday.
Vick has been embroiled in a battle with teammate Nick Foles for the starting quarterback jersey, with coach Chip Kelly seemingly unsure as to who is his first choice ahead of the new season.
Despite getting the nod for Friday's game, Vick is not reading too much into the selection after being told that Foles will take his place in their second pre-season tie.
"I can't read into it," Vick is quoted as saying in the Philadelphia Daily News.
"Coach, all he told us is that I'm going to start, but it won't be the same next week. So you've got to take it for what it's worth and keep moving."
Vick was the Eagles' first-choice quarterback for start of last season before being replaced by Foles after suffering from concussion.
