Half-Time Report: New Orleans Saints edging Pittsburgh Steelers in cagey Heinz Field contest

Two touchdown passes from Drew Brees have given the New Orleans Saints a slight advantage over the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The New Orleans Saints hold a 14-6 lead over the Pittsburgh Steelers, following a slow-going first half at Heinz Field.

Both offenses took their time to get going, with the first two scores of the contest being a pair of Shaun Suisham field goals for the Steelers.

Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger almost had a pass picked off which would have surely been run back for a touchdown but got lucky, before Saints quarterback Drew Brees finally responded and found Ben Watson for a 15-yard score to edge his side in front.

With the home side quickly going three and out, Brees got the ball back into his hands and extended the lead, targeting full back Erik Lorig for a four-yard touchdown just before the end of the half.

Though Roethlisberger has struggled, running back Le'Veon Bell has over 80 rushing yards to his name.
