San Diego Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers has revealed that he is unlikely to sign a new deal with the club before training camp later this year.
The 33-year-old will be entering the final year of his contract with the Chargers, but with uncertainty over the future location of the team, Rivers has admitted that he is more than happy to wait to pen an extension to his deal.
"What I can control and all I know as of today, I am signed up for one more year," Rivers told U-T San Diego.
"I guess things could change, but with all the uncertainty in many aspects, I don't see it changing before camp gets here, and when camp gets here I'm even more certain to play it out."
Rivers threw for 4,286 yards along with 31 touchdowns to 18 interceptions in the 2014 season.
