Report: Marshawn Lynch fined by NFL for obscene gesture

A report suggests that Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch has been fined $20,000 by the NFL for making an obscene gesture while celebrating a touchdown.

Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch has reportedly been fined by the NFL for making an obscene gesture in his side's NFC championship win over the Green Bay Packers.

The incident occurred in the fourth quarter of the game after Lynch scored the touchdown that handed his team the lead in the dying minutes of the game.

However, he made an obscene gesture while celebrating the score, resulting in a $20,000 (£13,317) fine by the league, reports NFL Network.

Lynch was fined $100,000 (£66,588) by the NFL earlier in the season for refusing to speak with the media, and could also face further action as he is reportedly refusing to take part in Super Bowl media day next week.

The Seahawks take on the New England Patriots in Super Bowl XLIX in Glendale on February 1.
