St Louis Rams head coach Jeff Fisher: 'We still want to draft a quarterback'

St Louis Rams head coach Jeff Fisher admits that the club still want to draft a quarterback despite trading for Nick Foles from the Philadelphia Eagles.

St Louis Rams head coach Jeff Fisher has revealed that his side still intend to select a quarterback in the 2015 NFL Draft despite trading for Nick Foles from the Philadelphia Eagles.

The Rams and the Eagles exchanged quarterbacks in a move that saw Foles switch to Fisher's men while Sam Bradford moved to the NFC East side.

However, Fisher has admitted that the Rams will still draft a signal-caller to compete with Foles and Case Keenum during the club's off-season activities.

"It's our intention to draft one," Fisher told reporters. "The Nick trade has no bearing over what we do in the Draft."

The Rams finished with a 6-10 record last season and have failed to make the playoffs since the 2004 campaign.
