Barcelona injury, suspension news for Spanish Super Cup final: Is Dani Olmo available for selection?

Sports Mole rounds up Barcelona's injury and suspension news ahead of their Spanish Super Cup final.

Barcelona will be bidding to become 15-time winners of the Spanish Super Cup when they take on either Real Madrid or Mallorca in the final of the competition on Sunday night.

Hansi Flick's side booked their spot in the showpiece event courtesy of a 2-0 success over Athletic Bilbao in Wednesday's first semi-final, with Gavi and Lamine Yamal on the scoresheet.

The Catalan outfit are now waiting to learn the outcome of the second semi-final between Real Madrid and Mallorca, which will take place on Thursday evening.

Possible return date: January 18 (vs. Getafe)

Christensen has been missing since the first gameweek of the campaign with an Achilles problem, but the Denmark international is now back in training and should return to the squad before the end of the month, with his return potentially coming on January 18.

Bernal suffered an ACL injury against Rayo Vallecano in the league earlier this term, and he is out for the season, with the youngster working to be ready for pre-season ahead of the 2025-26 campaign.

Barcelona will be missing their number one goalkeeper Ter Stegen for the remainder of the season due to the serious knee injury that he suffered in the clash with Villarreal on September 22.


BARCELONA'S SUSPENSION LIST

Barcelona have no players suspended for the Spanish Super Cup fixture, and both Dani Olmo and Pau Victor will be available to play, with the pair granted temporary registration by Spain's supreme sports council.
