St Louis Rams head coach Jeff Fisher has revealed that his side have been holding wide receiver Tavon Austin back in pre-season to save him for when their campaign starts for real.
The 22-year-old has mustered just five receptions in pre-season during his side's three games but did have an 81-yard punt return against the Denver Broncos, showing his explosive skill set.
"We have a pretty good idea, but we haven't shown it yet," Fisher told The Jim Rome Show.
"He's not had a lot of production in the pre-season, only because it makes sense to hold those types of things for the regular season."
Austin was drafted eighth overall by the Rams in the Draft this year.
