John Mara: 'There could be two NFL teams based in Los Angeles in 2016'

New York Giants owner John Mara believes that there could be up to two teams playing in Los Angeles in the 2016 season.

New York Giants owner John Mara has expressed his belief that there could be "one or two" teams playing in Los Angeles in the 2016 season.

St Louis Rams owner Stan Kroenke has reportedly made plans to build a new stadium in the Inglewood region, which has suggested that the franchise could be relocated to the area.

Meanwhile, the Oakland Raiders and the San Diego Chargers have also been linked with a move to LA.

"I think there's going to be one or two teams playing in Los Angeles next year," Mara told reporters.

The Rams were the last team to be based in Los Angeles in 1994 before they were moved to St Louis.
