Stan Kroenke land purchase reignites Los Angeles talk

Reports that an NFL team could be heading to Los Angeles reignite after St Louis Rams owner Stan Kroenke purchases a 60-acre plot of land in the city.

Talks of an NFL team in Los Angeles have been reignited following reports that Stan Kroenke has purchased a large plot of land in the city.

The St Louis Rams owner has bought a 60-acre site between Hollywood Park and the Los Angeles Forum, according to the Los Angeles Times, leading to speculation that the NFC West side could be preparing to return to their former home.

The Rams' lease on their current stadium, the Edward Jones Dome, expires at the end of the 2014 NFL season.

LA had previously been the home city of the Rams and the Raiders, but the city has been without a team since 1994.
