Cortland Finnegan has said that he expects the St Louis Rams or the Detroit Lions to win next season's Super Bowl.
Neither team made the playoffs in 2012, but have brought in a number of new players in the off-season.
The Rams cornerback told the Detroit Free Press: "If we don't win it, I'll take the Lions winning it next.
"You don't have the name Megatron [the nickname of Lions' wide receiver Calvin Johnson] for any other reason other than you're a bad man.
"So that's where it's at. They had a lot of good things going for them. Slot receivers, [quarterback Matthew] Stafford is amazing. They picked up some good stuff this year. So [head coach Jim] Schwartz, he's always going to put together a good team."
Finnegan made over 100 tackles for the Rams in 2012 as well as three interceptions.
