The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have confirmed that the MRSA infection that forced Carl Nicks to miss the first two games of the season has returned.
The guard, who was first diagnosed with the condition in August, had more tests earlier this week after complaining of soreness in his foot on Wednesday.
The NFC South side had to order a deep cleanse of their practice facility after Nicks and kicker Lawrence Tynes contracted the illness during the summer.
The Buccaneers face the Philadelphia Eagles this Sunday.
