Jon Gruden: "I don't want to be considered"

Former Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach turned television pundit Jon Gruden rules himself out of the running for any available head coach's positions in the NFL.

Former Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach and television pundit Jon Gruden has revealed that he doesn't want to be considered for any of the available head coaching positions in the NFL this year.

Gruden, a one-time Super Bowl winner, has been out of the game since the 2008 after he left the Buccaneers and despite several opportunities being open to him this year, he has opted to rule himself out of the running for a return.

"I don't want to be considered for any of these jobs," Gruden told the Pioneer Press. "I don't want to be considered for anything. There are plenty of good candidates out there.

"I'm just sick for the guys who can no longer coach their teams. I'm hoping to do the best I can to hang on to my job."

Gruden won the Super Bowl in the 2002 season with the Buccaneers beating his old side the Oakland Raiders.
