Jimmy Haslam: 'We're not the same old Cleveland Browns'

Cleveland Browns owner Jimmy Haslam III insists that his side aren't the "same old Browns" and is adamant that they are committed to winning.

Cleveland Browns owner Jimmy Haslam III has admitted that his side's supporters have every right to be skeptical but has insisted that they're not the "same old Browns".

Haslam and his front office team have faced criticism for firing head coach Rob Chudzinski after just one season at the club, where they finished with a 4-12 record, which will leave them looking for their third head coach in as many seasons.

He told reporters: "There's nothing — and you all have every right to write it — that galls me more than to read on Monday mornings, 'same old Browns.' Because that's not what we're all about, and that's not what we came here for.

"We deserve the skepticism. We have the best fans in the world, and I've said our fans deserve better. We want an individual who's a strong winner, who knows how to win football games," he said. "I don't know if it'll take a week or a month."

Haslam bought the majority stake in the Browns last year from Randy Lerner.
