Wide receiver Mike Williams scored Tempa Bay's only touchdown in the third quarter, but the home side were unable to score in the fourth and stage a comeback.
The result gives St Louis their eighth win of the season, meaning they can still finish with a winning record if they beat the Seattle Seahawks next weekend.
