Tennessee Titans training Taylor Lewan for right tackle role

The Tennessee Titans decide to train Draft left tackle Taylor Lewan to take over on the right during the off-season, allowing for the player to operate in an alternative swing position.

The Tennessee Titans have decided to train Draft left tackle Taylor Lewan as a right tackle during the off-season, allowing for the player to operate in a swing position.

The youngster will face competition from Michael Roos in the left position, though he could yet feature over on the right, with the player adamant that his off-season preparation is helping him to develop.

"It's just different, something I haven't done before," said Lewan, according to the NFL's official website.

"My vertical set is a little off, and keeping my shoulder square [is harder], those type of things. My punch timing is a lot better on the left side than it is on the right side.

"But it's just learning and developing those things, and that's what you have to do to be successful."

It is unclear what exactly Bob Bostad plans to do with Lewan in the long run, but he is making sure that the player is ready to feature on both sides in preparation.
