Half-Time Report: Washington Redskins on course to end losing streak

Robert Griffin III has a late touchdown ruled out as the Washington Redskins go into the break of their match against the New York Giants with a three-point lead.

The Washington Redskins are on course to end a five-match losing streak, having taken a 17-7 lead into the halfway stage of their NFC East clash with the New York Giants this evening.

It was the Redskins who drew first blood in the opening quarter when Kai Forbath kicked over a field goal from 35 yards after Colt McCoy had guided his side into range.

The Giants responded with less than two minutes remaining of the first, however, Eli Manning linking up with Odell Beckham Jr for a 10-yard score.

The Redskins regained the advantage in the second quarter when Robert Griffin III found a wide-open Chris Thompson on the right side for a nine-yard score.

Griffin thought that he had got his own name on the scoreboard shortly afterwards, peeling off to the right and rushing in for an eight-yard score, but the touchdown was reversed on appeal.
