Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III has said that he feels "great" as he prepares for the 2015 NFL season.

The 25-year-old struggled throughout the 2013 season while recovering from knee ligament surgery, and missed time last year after dislocating his ankle.

When asked about his health at a press conference, the former Heisman Trophy winner told reporters: "No ifs, ands or buts about it. I feel great. I feel great about the guys around me. That's all you can ask for.

"I just think we're all feeling better about what we're doing. We know a lot more than last year. And for me as a player, you always have to be confident. Sometimes you have to throw a little swag on it."

Griffin led the Redskins to the playoffs for the first time in five years during his debut season, but the side have finished bottom in their division in the last two campaigns.
