England, Wales grab medals in pole vault

England and Wales both secure medals in tonight's pole vault final at Hampden Park as the home nations enjoy a good last day at the Commonwealth Games.

England's Sally Scott has won bronze in the women's Commonwealth Games pole vault final tonight to join Sally Peake on the podium as Wales sealed a silver medal.

Peake was challenging Alana Boyd for the gold, but the Welsh athlete failed in her final attempt at 4.40m to hand gold to the Australian at Hampden Park.

Scott, meanwhile, sealed third place, sharing the bronze with Canada's Alysha Newman to add yet another medal to England's athletics tally tonight.

England's men and women secured podium finishes in both the 4x100m and 4x400m relay finals on Saturday, while Jo Pavey took bronze in the 5000m.
