British athlete Jenny Meadows has revealed that she will lodge an appeal if she is left out of Team GB's athletics squad for the London Olympics.
The 31-year-old has been dealt a blow in her race to be fit for this summer's Games after suffering a reaction to an Achilles injury, which forced her out of the European Athletics Championships semi-finals in Helsinki today.
"I would appeal, you've got to do everything," said Meadows. "It's the Olympic Games, it's not a hobby, it's not a profession. It's literally my life."
The 800m runner will discover her fate when the selection for Team GB is made on Monday.
