Mo Farah has insisted that his bid to win a gold medal in the 10,000 metres at the Olympics will be harder than people are expecting.
The British runner has been widely tipped as one of the favourites for Saturday's race but the 29-year-old claims that it is important he does not become complacent.
Farah told The Sun: "I'm not a shoo-in for the gold medal, it's not as easy as that.
"I can make a mistake. I just have to be in the right place at the right time. I definitely want an Olympic medal. The Olympics is where it's at, it's every athlete's dream.
"I can't think I've got a medal hanging round my neck, that doesn't happen."
Farah is also expected to compete in the 5,000 metres.
