Team GB's Greg Rutherford says that he finds it difficult to comprehend that he was part of a 45-minute medal haul where he, Jessica Ennis and Mo Farah won gold medals.

Team GB's long jump Olympic champion Greg Rutherford has admitted that he still "can't believe" that he was part of London 2012's famous 'super Saturday'.

The British athlete won gold in the men's long jump final in a dramatic 45 minutes which resulted in gold medals for heptathlete Jessica Ennis and long-distance runner Mo Farah.

"It's one of those once-in-a-lifetime opportunities and fortunately all three of us took that opportunity," Rutherford told BBC Radio Five Live. "We knew Jess [Ennis] was going to win as she was incredible and put herself in a great position.

"Mo [Farah] was also in great shape and I thought I could go out and do something. I just can't believe I was a part of it. I have to pinch myself to make sure it is real. The way the whole competition fell for me was really strange. I couldn't believe nobody else was challenging. It was an amazing night."

Rutherford and his GB teammates will travel through central London in a victory parade from 1.30pm today.
