Team GB's Dai Greene failed to claim a medal from tonight's men's 400m hurdles final inside London's Olympic Stadium.
Despite getting off to a good start, Greene soon found himself towards the back of the field heading down the back straight.
The Welshman produced a good form on the bend, which brought him back into contention.
However, he had ultimately left himself too much ground to make up and ended the race in fourth position.
The gold medal went to Felix Sanchez of the Dominican Republic in a time 47.63s, while America's Michael Tinsley took the silver medal.
Bronze went to Javier Culson, who collected Puerto Rico's first ever medal at the Olympics in the process.
