Great British Olympic champion Greg Rutherford claimed the long jump title at the IAAF Melbourne World Challenge earlier today.
A distance of 8.10m during his fourth of six jumps was enough for the 26-year-old to win the top prize ahead of Aussie duo Mitchell Watt and Fabrice Lapierre.
"An 8.10m isn't anything massively special but we are in the early part of the year, and waking up this morning I didn't expect to be able to jump that well so early," said the Brit.
At the same meeting, Australian sprinter Josh Ross won the men's 100m.
