Great Britain's Goldie Sayers out of javelin at Worlds after fouling final throw

Great Britain's Goldie Sayers fails to qualify for the women's javelin final at the World Championships in Beijing after fouling her third attempt.

Great Britain's Goldie Sayers will not contest for a medal in the women's javelin after crashing out in the qualifying round.

The 33-year-old recorded 58.28m in her first attempt, but she left it all to do in the third round after dropping to 58.11m in her second throw.

However, it was not to be for Sayer as she placed her hand over the line after releasing the javelin in her final attempt, which was recorded as a foul.

The USA's Brittany Borman topped qualifying with 64.22m.
