Usain Bolt has insisted that he is relishing the IAAF World Championship in Moscow despite the absence of three of his biggest rivals.
American Tyson Gay and Jamaica's Asafa Powell will not compete in the event after failing doping tests, while 100m record holder Yohan Blake is out with a hamstring injury.
"I'm really motivated to go and show the world that even without nobody there, I can still win. So I'm focused, and I'm ready to go," Reuters quotes Bolt as saying.
He added: "I went to the Olympics, and now I'm back - back to regain my title. I'm even more focused that last time. So I'm going to get it done."
American Justin Gatlin has been earmarked as Bolt's main rival in the 100m event.
The IAAF World Championship gets underway on August 10.
