Team England's Sarah Walker has progressed to the quarter-finals of women's singles badminton following her victory over Jersey's Liz Cann at the Commonwealth Games.
The 24-year-old had a strong start to the match and took the first set 21-14 in a confident fashion with an array of strokes.
However, Cann battled back in the second set, and she did just enough to edge out Walker to take the match into a decider.
Walker's quality prevailed despite her accuracy failing her at times in the final set as she clinched it 21-18 to move into the last eight of the competition.
The 24-year-old has already won a silver medal at the Games in the mixed team event.
