NBA roundup: New York Knicks stun San Antonio Spurs

Sports Mole rounds up all the action from Tuesday's games in the NBA.

The New York Knicks stunned the San Antonio Spurs in overtime after coming from behind in the second half at Madison Square Garden.

The NBA champions were 13 points up midway through the third quarter, but rookie Langston Galloway, who finished with a career-high 22, and Alexey Shved got them back on level terms late on.

Tony Parker got the Spurs off to a strong start in overtime, but his effort was to be their only basket as the Knicks powered ahead to clinch the win.

The Los Angeles Clippers opened up an early lead to set up victory over the Charlotte Hornets.

JJ Redick and Chris Paul led the charge in the opening spell, helping the Clippers surge to a 22-point advantage heading into the second half.

Gerald Henderson helped the visitors reduce the deficit late on, cutting the lead to as little as three points in the fourth quarter, but Blake Griffin and DeAndre Jordan both found the target in the final few minutes to see out of the win.

The New Orleans Pelicans needed a late push to clinch a single-point victory over the Milwaukee Bucks, moving the team into the playoff places in the Western Conference.

Anthony Davis missed 12 of his 18 shots, but found the basket with just over a minute remaining to fire the home side ahead.

Ersan Ilyasova made it close late on, but there was not enough time for the Bucks to find another score, leaving the Pelicans to climb above the Oklahoma City Thunder in the standings.

The Detroit Pistons ended their 10-game losing streak with victory over the Memphis Grizzlies at the Palace of Auburn Hills.

It looked like another disappointing night for the hosts early on as the Grizzlies opened up a 12-point lead in the first quarter.

However, Reggie Jackson kept them in contention at half time, before Jeff Green and Marc Gasol handed Detroit the lead after a strong start to the second half.

The Orlando Magic slipped to a fifth straight defeat as the Houston Rockets clinched a comfortable win over the strugglers.

The game had been close throughout the opening three quarters, but Donatas Motiejunas led a late push by the hosts, ensuring that they outscored the Magic 36-16 in the final 12 minutes.

Results in full: Memphis Grizzlies 95-105 Detroit Pistons, San Antonio Spurs 100-104 New York Knicks, Orlando Magic 94-107 Houston Rockets, Milwaukee Bucks 84-85 New Orleans Pelicans, Charlotte Hornets 92-99 Los Angeles Clippers
