Ty Lawson, Wilson Chandler expected to miss season opener

Denver Nuggets duo Ty Lawson and Wilson Chandler are both doubts to be fit for the opening game against the Sacramento Kings.

The Denver Nuggets have been dealt a blow ahead of the start of the new season with the news that Ty Lawson and Wilson Chandler could miss the game against the Sacramento Kings.

According to the roster handed to the NBA, Chandler has been put on the inactive list as he continues to battle with an injured hamstring.

Lawson is expected to make the trip to Sacramento but a decision will not be made about his availability until just before tipoff.

The 25-year-old picked up a groin injury over the weekend and if he is forced to sit out, either Nate Robinson or Andre Miller could fill his position.
