NBA roundup: Losses for Chicago Bulls, Brooklyn Nets, Orlando Magic

Sports Mole rounds up Sunday night's action from the NBA.

The Los Angeles Clippers thrashed the Chicago Bulls, securing their 10th victory of the season and setting a new franchise record for the biggest winning margin.

Jared Dudley led the scoring with 21, while Chris Paul grabbed 17 assists in the 39-point win, giving the Clippers a seventh victory in their last nine games.

Luol Deng and Carlos Boozer worked hard to try to keep the Bulls in contention, but the reserves struggled against the home side's defense in the fourth quarter, scoring just nine points.

The Phoenix Suns had to survive a fightback by the Orlando Magic before Goran Dragic managed a late surge to seal the visitors' win.

The guard added a string of seven late points after the Magic reduced their 14-point lead to just three towards the end of the fourth quarter.

The Detroit Pistons clinched just their second away victory of the campaign, beating the Brooklyn Nets 109-97.

The home side made a strong start as they looked to avoid their fifth straight defeat, but Rodney Stuckey continued his strong recent form to finish the game with 27 points.

A solid performance by the Los Angeles Lakers helped them to a 100-86 win over the Sacramento Kings.

Xavier Henry led the team with 21 points, 12 of which came in the fourth quarter, as the Lakers clinched their third victory in a row.

The Oklahoma City Thunder cruised to a comfortable triumph over the Utah Jazz to maintain their 100% home record.

Kevin Durant and Serge Ibaka combined for 38 points as the home side took an early lead, which the Jazz never looked like overturning, giving the Thunder their best start to a season since moving to Oklahoma City in 2008.
